Students will learn how to excel in a shop environment with lectures and practical training in safety procedures, reading scale drawings, tool identification and use, carpentry, steel fabrication, and scenic painting. By the end of the course, students should have the skills and knowledge to pursue entry level employment in scenic construction and have a foundation to pursue other trades, including construction, drafting, machining, welding, finish carpentry, and painting to name a few.

Review of applications will begin on April 21st, 2025. Applications will be accepted through May 2nd, 2025.

This opportunity is designed as a path into the industry. No previous experience is required. We highly encourage people of color, individuals with disabilities, and other historically underrepresented groups in our community to apply.
